this pre-made creme brulee mix is great but the resealable plastic cap is not glued onto the box very well so doesn't quite re-close. In fact 2 of the 3 was off when it got here (bulk order of 3 at a time only).
I followed box directions first, doing it from stove top, but the nicer part about it is, I found you can microwave it also. once you've poured it into a ramekin, microwave a few seconds with close watch, until it lightly boils. Remove from microwave and mix. Then refrigerate for an hour to 2 days, then sprinkle sugar on top and use a petit torche to create candied glaze.
If you fill a 3 oz. ramekin, it's actually only 240 calories. However filling a 4 oz. ramekin will increase calories to 320. You don't have to eat it all at once, I spread it out little by little to about a month for 1 box, so it doesn't make me fat.
