This is a really good dessert and is easy to put together. It is delicious with the apples, but I found one day I was out of apples and didn't want to make a trip to the store. I found a can of fruit cocktail in the cupboard, opened and drained it, added it to the batter instead of apples and WOW! If turned out delicious,without all the trouble of peeling and chopping apples.
